Our VFW Post recently pasrticipated in the Marine Junior ROTC Program at Allen High School.
The Post awarded awards in three categories.
- Community Service Certificates and Letters of Appreciation to the eight cadets that assisted the Post in it's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of the Allen Community Outreach. The collection effort netted over $6600.00 in food and gift cards.
- National VFW Certificates and Medals to six cadets who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities.
- The First Annual Armistice Memorial Post 2195 Scholarship. This scholarship for $1000.00 is sent to the University in the name of the student to assist in defraying expenses there.
