CEREMONIAL UNIT

The Ceremonial Unit is comprised of both a Color Guard and an Honor Guard with the Unit Commander being appointed by the Post Commander. Together, these two groups are comprised of volunteer members from our Post as well as occasional participation by Post Elected Officers and selected members of the community.

Color Guard duties include the presenting and display of our national and state colors and associated unit flags at patriotic events, formal meetings. The Color Guard of VFW Armistice Memorial Post 2195 will participate in parades, events, and ceremonies honoring current active-duty service members and veterans throughout our community. They will promote Americanism, pride in our Nation and her Flag.

The mission of the Honor Guard is to provide funeral honors and assistance to all Veterans and their families during their time of need. They will promote Americanism, dignity, and respect for our country's warriors by upholding the utmost professionalism and integrity through its conduct and image at all times. With the responsibility bestowed on us, we will never forget that it is the Veteran who commands the dignity we protect. We will always conduct our missions, in humbled reverence, to the best of our ability.
