Jim Brevard
Senior Vice Commander - Air Force

Entered the U.S. Air Force in July of 1961. Served in a Tactical Control Squadron in Viet Nam in 1964-1965. After training in Telephone Switching Systems, served for two years with NATO in Turkey as a Systems Maintenance Technician and instructor. Additional training in support of avionics systems led to assignment with the Strategic Air Command in support of B52s and refueling tankers. A follow on assignment to Taiwan in 1972 was in support of operations in Vietnam. Later served in the U.S. and Europe maintaining and supervising fighter avionics with follow on training in Air Traffic Control radar maintenance and communications systems until retirement in 1987.
Joined Armistice Memorial Post 2195, VFW in 2007. Appointed Post Surgeon in 2015, 2016 and 2017.  Elected Junior Vice Commander for the 2020-2021 VFW year.  Advanced to Senior Vice Commander upon resignation of the previous incumbent.
